# Particles Collision Lab Report

## Objectives of the experiment

Collision of particles is one of the fundamentals in physics we use to study nature. In essence, the main objective of this lab experiment was essentially to study the nature of two colliding objects: elastic and an inelastic object. From this experiment one is in a good position to gain background knowledge concerning the conservation of kinetic energy between the two colliding bodies and the concept of momentum.

## Conclusion

In order to fully accomplish the objectives of the experiment, three different experiments were conducted in the lab. Both the three experiments were in one way and the other related to the subject or rather the topic of the experiment. The first two experiments entailed the elastic objects, in the third experiment however, an experiment regarding the elastic object was done. Based on the findings, it well apparent that much energy was lost in inelastic experiment as compared to that in the elastic experiment. The reason behind the fact that much energy was lost in the inelastic experiment is the presence of friction force that acted opposite to the original force.
